Why is Katrina Kaif hiding her real age ?

Why is Katrina Kaif hiding her real age ? I hope she is hiding her real age, because it makes me very uncomfortable to think she was an 18 year old living alone in India and dating 40 year old Salman Khan! I am much happier thinking that she was actually 21 or 22 or 24. If she is lying about her age, I suspect it is just because she was told that teenage models get more jobs back when she was starting out, so she shaved a few years off. And now it is written in the record over and over again and it would be too hard to correct. Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if the same is true for a lot of those super young models who became actresses. If you are Anushka Sharma or Aishwarya Rai or Priyanka Chopra, and your agent tells you it’s a good idea to lie about your age, why would you think twice about it? You’d assume that it might help you get a few jobs in the next few months, not that it might be a lie you are stuck with for the rest of your life! Actually, the only people who’s “official” ages I trust are the ones who got famous all of a sudden, so the first time they were asked their age they knew they would be stuck with it forever (like, Jaya Bhadhuri Bachchan, for instance. Or Shahrukh Khan). Or, the ones who had famous parents and therefore have been documented their entire lives. I don’t think Deepika Padukone, for instance, can get away with lying about her age, because there are news reports about what her parents were doing through out the 80s and it would be pretty easy to catch her.
