A WOMAN who has dedicated her life to exposing cheating men is actually a relationship wrecker

A WOMAN who has dedicated her life to exposing cheating men is actually a relationship wrecker A WOMAN who has dedicated her life to exposing cheating men is actually a relationship wrecker who STOLE her own neighbour’s fiance, despite being married to her second husband at the time. Love detective Rebecca Jane’s 18-month affair with her neighbour caused him to call off his engagement – and now the mum-of-two has opened up about her “hypocritical” past. The 32-year-old is the founder of the Lady Detective Agency, a British company suspicious wives and girlfriends hire to poke into their partners’ private lives, and expose them as love rats. She told the Mirror: “I’ve never said I’m a saint – and I feel hypocritical in a really big way – but no one has an affair if they are entirely happy. “I did everything I could not to hurt my husband but I’ve realised the lies probably hurt more than the cheating did. now “I did think about my lover’s fiancee. It must have been horrific. I’ve been in her shoes and it’s really hard.” Ironically, her policeman ex-husband’s mum hired her own private investigator to see if Rebecca was cheating, but the expert wasn’t caught out. “If anyone knows how not to be caught it’s me,” she added. “If confronted, I’d have admitted it was all completely accurate. But I’d do it all again. “I think everything happens for a reason and I think this man was brought into my life to teach me what love is.” Rebecca set up her love detective agency after being cheated on multiple times by her first husband, who is dad to her daughter Paris, 11.She married her second husband, with whom she had her second daughter Peaches, four, in 2012. A year later, she met her hunky neighbour for the first time. Rebecca said: “The second I laid eyes on him, I thought ‘wow’. He was tall, dark and handsome – the classic English gentleman look. “It sounds cheesy as hell but it was love at first sight. As we talked, I felt like I’d known him forever and he was meant to be in my life. “We tried to be friends but things spiralled out of control. Fighting our feelings just didn’t seem like an option. “I knew leaving our partners would have been catastrophic. Neither of us wanted the drama, the hurt or the upset. But we couldn’t help ourselves.” Rebecca got divorced in 2015, and is currently single. She said of the affair: “The guilt ate me up inside because I remembered those feelings when my first marriage was ending. “But my feelings for this man were too strong. I couldn’t ignore them.” She added: “I’ve tried to reach out to my lover’s ex but she doesn’t want to talk. “She didn’t behave well during their split but I guess it’s understandable. Even when I was being cheated on, I was never one to blame the other woman.” We previously brought you the story of one mum who discovered her fiance was cheating on her – after realising the loud sex noises she was hearing from her neighbour’s apartment were actually her partner and the other woman.
