PCB announces new Captain of T20 cricket team LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed as new Captain of T20 cricket team. Shahid Afridi has been replaced by Sarfraz Ahmed after the resignation of Captain Shahid Afridi. According to the press release of PCB, Vice-Captain of Pakistan cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed has been appointed has new captain of T20 cricket team. “Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarfraz Ahmed as the captain of Pakistan T20 team,” said a PCB press release. Sarfraz had been appointed as vice-captain of ODIs and T20 last year but rumours were circulating in media after the resignation of all-rounder Afridi that Sarfraz is being appointed as new captain. He has represented Pakistan in 21 test matches while Sarfraz played 58 ODIs and 21 T20 matches. Pakistan cricket team will play T20 match against England after five months under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed. PCB Chairman expressed his best wishes for Sarfraz Ahmed saying that he was our natural choice for this position.
